Since 1987 Challenge Soccer Club has led the way in South Texas youth soccer development. Having grown substantially over the years and after numerous National and Regional successes, we now constitute over 70 select level teams, in six different locations, around the greater metro Houston area. In 2020, we expanded our club to include a boys program called Challenge United and formed 16 teams our very first year!
Our current players and over 1,700 alumni will be the first to say that being a part of the Challenge program is being a member of an extended family. At the heart of our program is an unconditional show of support for each other; reaching between players, coaches, and families. We are all in this journey together. Ultimately every player will experience successes and frustrations throughout the learning process and it is left to teammates and staff to celebrate every great moment while also helping to push through the difficult ones.
Our unique training environment is designed to facilitate competition in a fun and energetic setting, allowing for unlimited training options and high intensity sessions. Our teams work harder than anyone in the country while developing relationships with each other and helping to foster the ’family’ mentality. These sessions hold players accountable to each other and the development process, as well as helping to mold necessary leadership skills that are required of the elite level player.
Ultimately the long track record of success at Challenge comes down to a committed unity from our athletes and families. When players put on the Challenge shirt they know they are playing for something bigger than themselves and their own individual ambitions. They do realize, however, that a selfless commitment to the team’s short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals will have a direct impact on their own development and be the greatest asset in achieving whatever dreams they pursue.
