The Texas Shootout is a STAY-TO-PLAY event and all teams traveling more than 75 miles are required to stay in an Official Tournament Hotel and must make reservations through Events by Design. Failure to make your reservations through Events by Design will result in the non-acceptance of your team.
STAY-TO-PLAY is a tournament housing method that allows teams to receive the best available hotel benefits and ensures all teams receive the protections Challenge Soccer Club and Events by Design have established with hotels. Events by Design pre-secures room blocks at the closest available hotels to the fields, and negotiates the lowest rates and best amenities for teams. Events by Design always selects properties with the team's best interest in mind.
What is an approved hotel? An approved hotel is a hotel that Events by Design and Challenge Soccer Club have approved based on quality, rate, location and has agreed to the protections that protect teams staying at the property.
Why isn't the hotel I want on the approved list? Events by Design considers all the closest properties to the field locations. Any property not on the approved list either do not have group rooms available for the teams, rates are too expensive or the property will not agree to the terms that protect teams.
