Q: What is the TEXAS SHOOTOUT?
A: The TEXAS SHOOTOUT is a nationally recognized showcase tournament designed to promote the highest level of competition available in youth soccer. Exposure to college coaches is a major goal of the TEXAS SHOOTOUT.

Q: Where do we mail our entry fee?
A: Your team check should be mailed to Challenge Soccer Club, Attn: Texas Shootout, 16949 N. Eldridge Pkwy, Suite 770-203, Tomball, TX 77377.
Q: Do teams have to stay in certain hotels?
A: Yes, teams traveling in from more than 75 miles away must book hotel rooms through Events by Design. Failure to make hotels reservations through Events by Design will result in the non-acceptance of your team.

A: Return flights should depart no earlier than 5:00pm on Sunday (if possible). If you're unable to secure a late afternoon departure flight, please let us know we can can adjust your schedule accordingly.
Q: Which airport do you recommend teams fly in and out of?
A: All major airlines except Southwest Airlines fly into Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). If your team prefers to fly Southwest then you will have to fly into Hobby Airport. There are a limited number of flights each day in and out of College Station, TX. We recommend teams fly in and out of Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Q: Our team has a schedule conflict, what do I do?

Q: Where do we get updated information in case of inclement weather?
A: In case of inclement weather, instructions will be given at the tournament headquarters tent at each park, and posted on the Challenge website, emails sent through Constant Contact, Facebook and Twitter @challengesoccer.com
Q: What color does the home team wear?
A: The HOME team wears their dark uniform; AWAY teams wear white. Teams without two sets of uniforms will be allowed to use “pennies” to provide a unique identification.
Q: When do games begin?
A: Games for U15-U19 teams begin at 8:00am on Saturday, May 25th and conclude by 5PM on Monday, May 27th.
Q: When and where is team check-in?
A: ALL teams will check-in online through Total Global Sports (TGS). Documents must be uploaded by May 15, 2024.
Q: What is required for check-in?
A: Official State Roster (US Club Soccer or US Youth Soccer) or Event Roster: with all players that will be playing on the roster – including guest players – can be written in: all players need to have uniform numbers on the rosters. Guest players from outside of the club will need guest player forms. **Contact your Station Association to find out what you need if you have a guest player from outside of your club. The rules vary state by state.
Medical Release Forms in alphabetical order by Last Name – you can use your own medical release; it does not need to be notarized
Player & Coach ID Cards – we need the front of all player and coach ID cards scanned and uploaded. The cards need to be in alphabetical order by Last Name.

A: Yes, we do. Player profile will be emailed to college coaches before the event starts.

Q: Where does each age group play?
A: U15-U19 teams will play at Veteran's Park in College Station, TX. Veteran's Park is located at 3101 Harvey Rd., College Station, TX 77845.
Q: How far away is College Station from Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH)?

Q: Do any airlines fly in and out of College Station?
A: Yes, American Airlines goes in and out of College Station Easterwood Field (CLL).

Q: When will the schedule be posted?
A: The schedule will be posted 7-10 days prior event. Please check the Challenge Soccer Club website for schedule changes.
Q: Will athletic trainers be present at the park all day?
A: Yes, athletic trainers from Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine will be on-site the entire weekend. They arrive 45 minutes prior to the first scheduled game and leave shortly after the final game. Their HQ tent is located near Field 4. Athletic trainers will also be on golf carts around the complex.

Q: How many college coaches attend?
A: In 2023 over 150 college coaches from NCAA Division I, Division II, III and NAIA schools attended the TEXAS SHOOTOUT.
