Challenge to Face Houston Dash on April 4th

Game to be Played at Houston Sports Park @ 10am

In a very special opportunity for Challenge Soccer Club, the Houston Dash of the NWSL have asked Challenge to provide a team to face their first team and trialists on Saturday, April 4th at 10am, at Houston Sports Park. Challenge previously was asked to put a team together to face the Houston Dash try out players on February 22nd and the Trinidad and Tobago National Team in August 2014.

Challenge players will have the chance to share the field with national team players, Olympic Medalists, and former collegiate national champions including: Carli Lloyd, Lauren Sesselmann, Morgan Brian, Kealia Ohai, Melissa Henderson, and Erin McLeod. Additionally, Challenge goalkeeper alumnus and LSU grad, Megan Kinneman, will be suiting up for the Dash on Saturday.

Challenge ECNL, approaching the tail end of their season, are beginning preparations for the National Playoffs in Seattle as the only Houston based club to have three teams on track to qualify for the event. They currently lead all Houston clubs in total wins and winning percentage while going undefeated in all ECNL National Event competitions with a 13 win, 3 draw, and 0 loss record across three age groups.

"We would like to thank Randy, Brian Ching, and the Houston Dash for again extending us an invitation to compete against their professional players. As the only all girls club in South Texas, we have tried to support the Dash as much as possible and to have them recognize us as a quality opponent is a great testament to the work our girls put in. Being able to compete against some of the best players in the world, many of whom we will see in the Women's World Cup this summer, will be a memorable opportunity for our players and Challenge families. We look forward to putting a quality team on the field and helping the Dash prepare for their home opener next week against Washington!"
-Director of Coaching, Pat O'Toole

Challenge families are encouraged to come out and watch the game on Saturday morning at 10am. Dash players will be available for autographs and pictures following the game.
